General Submission Guidelines


Please send separate e-mails for poetry and essay submissions if you intend to submit both.

Please specify in the subject line whether the submission is poetry, an essay, or an article.

Submissions should be original works and you should own the sole rights to them.

By submitting to Perspectives Quarterly, you are authorizing us to post your content on the Perspectives Blog.

The deadline for both poetry and essays/articles for the first issue of Perspectives Quarterly is Thursday, December 20th 2012 at 11:59 pm EST (8:59 pm PST and 4:59 am on December 21st GMT).

Preferred file types for attachments include doc, docx, rtf, and txt.  Please do not send your work as an image file (.jpg, .png, etc...)

Poetry Submission Guidelines

  • Please send no more than three (3) poems per issue.
  • Please send your submissions both in the body of the e-mail and as an attachment.
  • All submissions should fit the Perspectives mission statement.

Personal Essay/Article Submission Guidelines   

  • Essays should be your original work.
  • Please send no more than one personal essay and one article per issue.
  • Please send essays and articles both in the body of the e-mail and as an attachment.
  • All submissions should fit the Perspectives mission statement.
